Time has flown by since my first article, I have to say over the past few weeks I am feeling very positive about the state of the market.. Having spent 5 years working in IT recruitment, the wonderful world of marketing is a breath of fresh air... It's lovely talking to and meeting with an array of great people in the industry.

Of course the market is tough at the moment, but I have seen 1st hand that there are still opportunities out there and there are companies that are bucking the current trend and recruiting for multiple roles.

Although only a short time in the industry, it is apparent that a number of companies are continuing to invest in areas where there is measurable ROI - digital marketeers are highly sought after and marketeers with strong analytical skills are also popular.

I am certain there are still tough times ahead, but we are optimistic about continuing towards the light at the end of the tunnel.
