Last Thursday, the fishtank team attended the Bristol Media Christmas bash and launch of the long awaited "0117 - Made In Bristol" - if you don't own a copy and haven't seen it, then bag yourself a copy before its too late - this is an amazing publication not to be missed! It is bursting with stories about a much-loved city and makes you proud to be a part of Bristol - the launch oozed passion, enthusiasm and genuine belief in our creative sector.

"0117 - Made In Bristol" is a fabulous, glossy 250 page guide to creativity in the city, the first annual publication of its kind in the UK celebrating Bristol's range of media and creative talent from the digital media specialists and designers, to film makers, animators and marketing experts. In highlighting and promoting the immense amount of Bristol-based creative talent, big companies in the South West region should be encouraged to use our first-class local companies and resources.

The publication has been sent to thousands of creatives in London to promote Bristol as a great place to live and work. Everyday at fishtank we speak to both candidates who are eagerly looking to move out of the big smoke, still wanting big activity and big brands but with a better quality of life, nearer the coast, and fresher air, and conversely candidates who honestly believe that nothing happens outside London!! Selling Bristol, its great companies & brands, and its thriving marketing & creative sector is a huge part of our business - working with and supporting those candidates who already know how great Bristol is, and educating those Londonites about all the exciting happenings going on in Bristol.

As for the Christmas bash, the bubbly was lovely, the band were great and there was rehydration needed on Friday morning!
